Thinking again about people's failures to own their decisions and actions. Usually involves migration from the order of causes to the order of reasons or confusion of these two orders. No facts about the world imply any particular response, could be they could cause one, all depends on how you prefer to look at yourself, or feel compelled to look at yourself. I guess my impression is that people are generally freer with respect to the usual sorts of purported causes of behavior than they let on or are aware of, genuine compulsion is a rare bird indeed, at least with respect to sustained attitudes and behaviors. This is all different when you consider something like habit, of course, but it's unusual for anyone to explicitly use habit as a justification of anything, at least anything considered particularly blameworthy.

Listening to 'Ella Speed'. Ain't it hard, man, but it's true, you can love someone don't love you.

Thinking about roasting more vegetables later.
