Skipped work, slept for a really long time. Cold symptoms are greatly diminished, don't have any energy.
Let the dogs out in the yard, having some cold coffee.
Had a dream about old chums visiting, we were about to go out to dinner, someone had left the exterior door open and I was about to close it to prevent Pickles escaping when my mom called & woke me up. She wanted to know what I wanted for my birthday.
Had a dream about coelacanths.
Too many people getting cancer lately.

Tried to go get some lunch in town, too darn busy, didn't realize Presidents' Day was so big outside my own household. Went to Florence for scallion pancake & mei fan instead, hurray for too darn busy in town.
Nose is still extremely itchy, meant to get some antihistamines while out, spaced it in the noodle afterglow, thought about self-knowledge & its facsimiles instead.

Started feeling dizzy & queasy around 8 last night, collapsed, missed sweater skirt party, woke around 2:30, no longer diizy or queasy, slept fitfully for the rest of the night.
Got up around 7, fully dressed, fed dogs, Peretz wouldn't go out in the yard, so I took him for a walk.
One of these days I'll have a job that gets national holidays off.

Just back from wedding reception, was in the basement of some sort of evangelical church, empty-eyed & soulless folk abounded. Legions of ignorance & hate, pretty dispiriting. Best of luck to them, I suppose.
The quiche & ricotta fritters we brought were a good deal more appealing than the bulk of the food on hand, though there were momo. How they managed to suck Tibetans into their nonsense is anybody's guess.
Have a headache, partially the effect of that grim basement, I imagine, but also due to my waking myself over & over last night, sneezing.
